Really mate? I didn’t knew that the WP templating system provides a ready to use “selected” state… I’ll check it out (how did i miss that?!?!). Thanks for the tip Johny-boy! I can’t believe you are reading a “greek” web design blog!!! I feel so proud now

Regarding the webartcast videos, don’t worry mate, I still don’t know if I’m going to support this project anymore… Currently I’m part of something really good for the greek standards (CSS3.gr), so I might focus my energy and passion there. Take care and c u around, it’s a small world!!!

Very cool mate! I’m digging the tabbed boxes in the sidebar, those are excellent.

A quick word about the “selected” state of the main navigation. Unless I’m misunderstanding something, WP does actually provide a class to target for the current page: “current_page_item”. It attaches this class to the surrounding element, so it’s easy to still target the child.

So your CSS rule:

#navigation ul li a.selected{…}

Can simply become:

#navigation ul li.current_page_item a{…}

Hope that’s helpful! I know I still owe you some video translation help too mate, sorry to be so slack on that! Just super busy these days….
